In the world according to Laurent Hamels, man has sealed a dangerous alliance with the current symbols of universal communication. The vivid colours of his views barely hide his black mood. Surrounded by dismantled keyboards, tangled cables, disconnected plugs and scattered keys, mankind is overwhelmed. But even though the dehumanised planet appears to be on the brink of exploding, nothing stops it from functioning. Laurent Hamels conjures up simplicity from a world born of complexity.
